Launching the 40th anniversary celebrations, the Allman Brother Band are set to perform at Beacon Theatre in 2009. They perform a total of 13 shows at the recently renovated Beacon theatre in New York, NY. The Allman Brothers have performed at the Beacon 175 times since 1989. The current line up includes lead vocalist/keyboardist Gregg Allman, drummer/tympani player Butch Trucks, drummer Jaimoe, vocalist/guitarist Warren Haynes, guitarist Derek Trucks, bassist Oteil Burbridge and percussionist Marc Quinones. They were recently honored at the Billboard's Legend of Live Award last November.

The Beacon Tour this year marks the band's return to performance show after a break of nearly 11 months, brought on by Gregg Allman's Hepatitis C infection. Since his recovery, Allman rejoined the band's tour in the fall of last year and also did a solo tour. The Allman Brothers Band has been immensely popular since the late 60s and continues to pull large crowds.
