Arlo Guthrie, the celebrated folk musician, has mapped out nearly a year's worth of dates for his next tour. He appeared recently in a televised performance on PBS on July 30 in a tribute to Pete Seeger. The tour will go on through October and November and from February to May next year. He will visit a number of cities in the US, including Princeton (NJ), Houston (TX) and Kent (WA). It will wind up on May 4 2010 in Spokane, WA.
The Pete Seeger tribute concert was held on May 3 at New York's Madison Square Garden and features over 40 performers, including Bruce Springsteen and Dave Matthews. Seeger performed Woody Guthrie's "This Land Is Your Land' with Bruce Springsteen during Obama's inaugural function. Woody's son, Arlo Guthrie, recently made news for lashing out at the Iranian government for their censorship of social networking websites.
