Legendary singer and songwriter from England Cliff Richards is undertaking a tour in 2009 with his backing band 'The Shadows.' Starting September 23 at the Odyssey Arena in Belfast, the tour visits a various venues across a number of countries including the US. The cities visited by the tour include London, Birmingham, Liverpool, Glasgow, Cardiff and Wembley and Manchester.

Born Harry Roger Webb, and knighted in 1995, Sir Cliff Richard has seen a number of ups and downs in his long career. Considered to be the English equivalent of the superstar Elvis Presley, Sir Cliff Richards has lived the rock and roll lifestyle to the hilt. Apart from musical performances, Cliff Richards and The Shadows have also appeared in six feature films including 'The Young Ones,' 'Summer Holiday,' 'Wonderful Life' and 'Finders Keepers.' The title song of the movie 'The Young Ones' turned out to be one of the biggest hits of his career until that time.
