Dar Williams the much acclaimed songwriter and singer is touring to support "Promised Land" which is her latest album. There are 12 songs in this album with guest appearance from Gary Louris, Suzanne Vega and Marshall Crenshaw. Dar Williams has an inimitable style especially in her writing of folk pop songs. Each song of hers has a unique quality which adds to the stories and also to the characters in it. Her songs touch topics like parenthood, family, sexuality, religion and politics. Her songs have a personal touch filled with warmth and emotion. The mother of a 5 year old son her song writing career has spanned fifteen years now.
