Metallica is considered one of the most influential heavy metal band of the 80s and have been instrumental in bringing the genre back to popularity. The band members include Ron McGovney, Robert Trujillo, Dave Mustaine, Lars Ulrich, James Hetfield. The band insists that their influences have been some well known and popular bands like Black Sabbath, Diamond Head, The Misfits, Motorhead and Saxon.
