Vampire Weekend is ready to kick off 2010 their spring tour. The tour starts off January 12 in Los Angeles (CA) lists 47 dates, and ends up on April 19 in Oakland, (CA). Vampire Weekend will visit Los Angeles (CA), New York (NY), Bexhill (UK), Cambridge (UK), Manchester (UK), Leeds (UK), Birmingham (UK), Newcastle (UK), Glasgow (SCO), Edinburgh (SCO), London (UK), Berlin (DE), Koln (DE), Hamburg (DE), Brussels (BE), Amsterdam (AN), Paris (FR), Toulouse (FR), Barcelona, (ES), Madrid (ES), Edmonton (CDN), Calgary (CDN), Missoula (MT), Salt Lake City (UT), Denver (CO), Aspen (CO), Minneapolis (MN), Milwaukee (WI), Chicago (IL), Knoxville (TN), Columbus (OH), Toronto (CDN), Boston (MA), Philadelphia (PA), Washington (DC), Nashville (TN), Ashville (NC), Atlanta (GA), New Orleans (LA), Austin (TX), Dallas (TX), Tempe (AZ), Pomona (CA). Complete trek itinerary with dates and venues is below. Vampire Weekend's debut album came 42nd on NME's 'Top 100 Greatest Albums of the Decade list. The Band's second album, Contra was released on January 11th (UK) and 12th (US) 2010. The album includes the tracks Cousins, California English, I think Ur a Contra, Holiday, Horchate, Giving up the gun, Diplomat's Son, Run, Taxi Cab, and White Sky. Vampire Weekend have stated publicly that their upcoming album will have run around 36 minutes long and have 10 songs on it. Their upcoming album in its entirety was up for streaming on the band's website as of January 5th 2010. Initial copies of the Contra LP and CD sold at independent records stores in the US and included a 3 track bonus CD with two melts and featured a remix and bits of album tracks. They performed live on Conan Obrien and on The Tonight Show on January 11, 2010.
