Saosin Supports Latest Album with US 2009 Tour

The band Saosin will be spending the late fall and early winter 2009 season touring cities across the United States. The US tour will kick off the month of November with a performance at the House of Blues, located in West Hollywood, California. After this, Saosin will be traveling to cities such as Chico (CA), Murray (UT), Englewood (CO), Kansas City (MO), Des Moines (IA), Grand Rapids (MI), New York (NY) and Tempe (AZ). The tour is scheduled to end with a performance at The Marquee in San Diego, CA on December 20th. Saosin’s latest album, ‘In Search of Solid Ground’ was released in early September, amid some controversy about the initial album artwork. Saosin was able to change the album’s artwork prior to the album’s release, mostly due to the feedback they received from fans.

Kiss Announces New “Alive 35” Tour Dates

Veteran rock band Kiss is currently in the process of a long-awaited performance tour, which has recently announced the addition of new December tour dates. The first performance in the month of November will take place at the United Center, located in Chigaco, Illinois on November 6th. Other scheduled cities include Winnipeg (Manitoba), Calgary (Alberta), Seattle (WA), Portland (OR), Sacramento (CA), Glendale (AZ), El Paso (TX), Dallas (TX), Council Bluffs (IA) and Pittsburgh (PA). The final scheduled performance for the tour will take place on December 15th, at the Essar Centre in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. Kiss was first founded in 1973, and has recently released their first album in 11 years.

Arctic Monkeys Return to the US/Canada for 2009 Tour Dates

Following a long performance tour stretching most of the 2009 summer and early fall, the Arctic Monkeys are finally returning to the US. This short tour will begin on December 6th, in Chicago, IL. This first performance will take place at the Riviera Theatre. The tour will end in Canada, in the city of Montreal on December 14th. Since 2002, the Arctic Monkeys have been enjoying the success of many of their smash-hit albums, including their most recent 2009 album release, titled "Humbug". In 2008, the Arctic Monkeys were recognized for their musical talent by winning both the "Best British Album" and "Best British Group" awards at the BRIT Awards.

Bryan Adams Announces New Winter 2009 Tour Dates

Bryan Adams is continuing his US tour with several recently announced dates to add during the winter season of 2009. These dates include a Minneapolis, MN performance which will be held at the State Theatre, as well as a performance in Wilkes-Barre, PA which will be at the Kirby Center. As of right now, Bryan Adams' musical tour is scheduled to end in New Brunswick, NJ on December 10th, though this is subject to change. Bryan Adams is famous for his work as a social activist as well, founding "The Bryan Adams Foundation" which helps children to advance their education. Bryan Adams has been nominated for three Academy Awards for "Best Song", which were in 1992, 1996 and 1997.

The Pixies have finally added some new cities and dates to their upcoming performance tour. The Pixies will begin their tour at the Hollywood Palladium, which is located in Los Angeles, CA. Their performance in Los Angeles will stretch for three full days, until they travel to another three day performance located in Oakland, CA at the Fox Theatre. Other cities on the tour include Chicago (IL), New York (NY), Boston (MA), Seattle (WA) and Eugene (OR). The tour will end in Washington DC, at the DAR Constitution Hall. This tour by the Pixies is in support of the 20th anniversary of their album, ‘Doolittle’ which was first released in 1989.

Weezer will be finishing their short US tour with performances into mid-December. Following the short break after Weezer's October 2009 shows, they will return December 1st with a performance at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago, Illinois. This tour was designed to help support Weezer's new studio-length album, "Raditude" which will be released on November 3rd of 2009. "Raditude" is Weezer's seventh album, following their self-titled album "Weezer" which was released in 2008. Weezer's first notable performance was when they opened for the band "Dogstar", which was the band that included now-famous actor Keanu Reeves. To-date, Weezer is reported as having sold more than eight million records in the United States alone.

Pop star Lady Gaga is going to give a bunch of shows in US and Canada starting from late November 2009. The outing called "The Monster Ball" tour kicks off November 27 by show in Bell Centre of Montreal. Current tour itinerary lists 22 dates up to the end of January 2010. Lady Gaga will visit Toronto (Ontario), Boston (MA), San Francisco (CA), Los Angeles (CA), Atlanta (GA), Orlando (FL), New York (NY), and some other markets. Folk-rock singer/songwriter Ani DiFranco has mapped out a few additional dates to her upcoming headlining act. The tour begins on September 5 in Turin (NY) and ends in New York on November 21. Most of the new additions are in the month of October. The cities on the itinerary include Minneapolis (MN), Chicago (IL), Fargo (ND), Berkeley (CA) and Albany (NY) and many others. Ani’s latest album, ‘Red Letter Year’ was released last September through her own label, Righteous Babe. It is her 20th studio release and her first album since her move to New Orleans and the birth of her child. A new live album has also been released, containing a 19-song performance at Saratoga, the Mountain Winery in CA, from September 2006. It includes the tracks ‘Red Letter Year’, ‘Coming Up’ and ‘Studying Stones’. The backing crew will include Todd Sickafoose on upright bass and Allison Miller on drums.
