311 has announced a summer tour in 2009 named the 'Unity Tour' to reflect the band's attitude towards positive vibes. The summer tours kicks off in Santa Barbara (CA) on June 5 and visits a number of cities across the country including Orange Beach (FL), Santa Barbara (CA), Saratoga Springs (NY), Virginia Beach (VA) and St. Louis (MO) before winding down at Irvine (CA) on July 12. The band comprises of guitarist/vocalist Nick Hexum, guitarist Tim Mahoney, drummer Chad Sexton, bassist P-Nut, and DJ/vocalist S.A. Martinez. The band is due to release its latest album 'Uplifter," on June 2. It is the band's ninth studio release and is produced by Bob Rock. It is likely to be their most heavy album till date.
