The Yeah Yeah Yeahs will be headlining at the Lollapalooza Festival in Chicago, replacing the Beastie Boys' act. The change is due to the hip-hop trio's Adam 'MCA' Yauch being diagnosed with throat cancer. The indie band has chalked out a number of festival performances including NJ's All Points West Festival on July 31 and Seattle's Bumbershoot on September 6. They will also headline at several smaller venues, including Electric Factory in Philadelphia (PA) and Northern Lights in Clifton Park (NY). The band supports fresh album 'It's Blitz!', their first since 'Show Your Bones' in 2006. It was produced by Nick Launay and Dave Sitek from TVOTR. The record features several guest contributors including TVOTR's Tune Adebimpe and Kyp Malone and The Bird and the Bee's Greg Kurtsin. The songs have a distinctive electronic sound despite their initial conventional composition.
