Following close on the heels of the release of their new album 'Death Magnetic' in September (which seems all set to be on Friday the 12th), the metal-heads' all time favourite band Metallica will soon embark on a full tour of North America, starting on the 21st of October. The whirlwind tour will encompass over 30 cities by the end of January next year. This announcement (along with the schedule of dates) was made on the 11th of August, a couple of days after the Dallas premiere of 'Cyanide', the sixth track of their album. The Sword will lend support to Metallica throughout the campaign, while Lamb of God, Machine Head and Down will alternate for the second support slot. The latest album of Metallica is their first in five years, and Lars Ulrich and co are bound to have the throngs in raptures.
