An American jam band with a cult following, Phish broke up in 2004 after twenty years of performing together since they grouped in 1983 at the University of Vermont. Now the band has announced that they will reunite in 2009 for a tour starting off with three shows in Virginia. The band had also reunited unofficially in September to perform at the wedding of Brad Sands - the group's long time road manager.

The comeback tour is not about to be limited to the Virginia leg of the tour. According to the website of Phish, "The band intends to announce additional touring in 2009 early next year."
